AZCAR is proud to participate in the Spring 2008 Worship Facilities Conference & Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana, April 29-May 1, 2008 at the IndianaConvention Center. WFX addresses the needs of church facilities, technology and executive teams by offering powerful content on critical growth areas, including facilities design, construction, remodeling and funding, as well as audio/visual equipment selection, and system design/upgrade.

AZCAR representatives Norman Cleary and Tom Moorhead will present the discussion "Counting the Costs of A/V Systems Before You Build" during the conference program on May 1 at 1:30 pm.  Register today for this event and we hope to see you there!

Counting the Costs of A/V Systems Before You Build

It’s a reality: New worship technology and media systems take not only money, but also require substantial planning and budgeting to ensure overall project success. Attend this session to learn what a “User Needs Analysis” is, why you need to prepare one and how to perform a “User Needs Analysis” for your project. This session will also include discussion about next steps following the “User Needs Analysis” for Conceptual Design planning and Budget development. Tom and Norman will also discuss the need for budgeting related technology beyond equipment ticket prices, including architectural, electrical, mechanical and acoustical costs involved in supporting the new media technology. Ongoing cost-of-ownership including maintenance, expendables and other operational cost forecasting will also be discussed. Finally, suggestions will be provided on how to work within your Budget to ensure your numbers are appropriate for the size, scale and scope of your project.
